Instructional Alignment: Making Your Assessments Match Your Targets

As teachers begin work with the Kentucky Core Academic Standards and
Learning Targets, it is crucial to determine that the writing to demonstrate
learning students complete matches the target. This session will provide
teachers with some ways to ensure that their writing matches their targets
as well as some structures to set writing to demonstrate learning.

Lynne Smith is a professor in the College of Education and Human Services at Northern Kentucky University where she directs the Kentucky Reading Project and teaches literacy courses.
Tammie Sherry is an assistant professor at NKU where she works with the Kentucky Reading Project and teaches literacy courses.

Stacie Hardy is the assistant principal at Campbell Ridge Elementary School in Campbell County and she works as the teacher leader in the NKU Kentucky Reading Project.

Tony Mazzei is the principal at Campbell Ridge ELementary School in Campbell County.
